We hosted our wedding at Veranda in July 2016. We had 100 guests and that almost reached the maximum capacity fortunately the way Nikki, the restaurant manager, had everything set up the night was a huge success. All the guests enjoyed themselves, the food was amazing! Our DJ was also fabulous and helped to make sure all the guests were able to get to the food in a timely manner since it was buffet style. The ambiance was cozy, welcoming and we felt we were all family. Nikki was a delight from the first time we met and throughout the actual night of the party.
Just two regrets we have, one is that we should have held the ceremony at the rooftop since it has such a beautiful set up and two, we needed to have made arrangements for the children in our party. Since it's buffet style of serving, we were not allowed to have pitchers of water and/or lemonade at the kids table. Since we had so many guests and an open bar, it took sometime before you could get a glass of water which is the reason for our four star rating rather than a 5. -

Sad I even spent money here. My husband and I are new to the neighborhood and have been slowly checking out any places that look fun. My husband saw that this place has a rooftop and said we should check it out.
When we arrive the place is complete empty, which for a Tuesday evening, I get. A bartender asks if we would like to be seated on the rooftop which we explain we do. We go up to the rooftop, where there is one group smoking cigarettes & drinking as well as what appeared to be one of the roof top waitresses toddler running around between tables.
We ordered drinks from their cocktail menu at $8 dollars a pop and we both felt they were pretty weak. Most are very fruity, what most would call "girl drinks". They have no craft beers whatsoever. That's fine, so on the next round we ask how much a double whiskey and coke would be, it's $12 dollars. This is well whiskey mind you. Not a huge deal but stiff.
Food comes and is pretty good. We both had meat entrees and the meat was cooked very well and super tender. We also ordered saganaki which was good as well, (but no "opa" lol.)
Service was good and prompt. However one of the other waitresses was watering plants on the roof top and sprayed my feet with her hose.
TLDR; food was decent, atmosphere lacking, come for food not for drinks if at all. -

I wish I could give zero stars. This used to be my fav place to go. I was just there with my family, celebrating my husband & my Anniversary. It was the worst experience ever! The server we had was terrible. He was too slow. Never asked how we were doing or even had our plates picked up after dinner. Not mention food was gross. We had to ask the server to bring everything even the eating utensils. Didn't even know about the specials. Actually he lied to us. We asked about any beer specials he said there was none. Yet several tables away from us had a beer special. Beer by the bucket. Our waiter failed to mention that. Goofed up on our check. We tried to talk to a manager, she did not seem to care. Never once apologized for the terrible service. I miss the old owners. They never would have let anything like this happen. I highly do not recommend this place. I can seriously go on & on about how bad this place is now. Please, please, do not go to this place. Totally ruined our Anniversary celebration. It was horrible. I wanted to cry there at our table.

This place used to be so much better before new management took over and changed the menu. Service was also pretty terrible. Our steak and chicken kabobs were totally inedible. Such a bummer because the ambiance of the rooftop is so great.

There is a sign on the door that says they have WiFi. But apparently only the manager knows the password. When I asked for it twice I never got it. So I found the manager and she gave me the wrong password.
The service is slow, but also just bad. A woman I was with ordered a burger and it was very undercooked. She wanted a new one since if they throw that cold blob back on the pan it would just get toug they refused to give her a new one. So,she just sent her item back. Then they charged her for it. I ordered a veggie wrap sandwich. It had a ton of shredded lettuce and a tiny slice of avocado (which was hard to find). It was just smothered in mayo. $12.
I also ordered an appetizer. There was a large slice of feta cheese! 1/2 of a piece of small pita, 3 sliced kalamata olives, 5 thin slices of tomato, and a few slices of cucumber. It didn't look like what I saw on the photos here. $6.
The person I was with had the saganaki and she said it was fine.
The only thing this has going for it is the upstairs seating. It is nice to sit outdooeprs upstairs. But, that means the servers are claiming those stairs since there is no dumbwaiter. The aren't around, probably downstairs.
Can't find you server. Can't find the manager.
Well they can't find my patronage any more.
